INSTALLATION OF A BOX AWNING TO IRON STRUCTURE

The Storbox 400 model box awning is installed on a crossbar held by two iron plates.

On this occasion we had to reinvent ourselves since the area that was to be covered with the awning did not allow for the proper installation, due to lack of height and fixing space.

Therefore, we decided to create a structure using two plates and an iron crossbar. The two plates are fixed to the two columns of the porch each held from 12 points with chemical tack. A 5.50 meter wide cross member is placed on top of the plates and fixed from 22 points using metric 10 threaded bolts.

Making this structure allows us to achieve the optimal height for the proper functioning of the awning, since a minimum slope is necessary to evacuate rainwater. And it also allows us to obtain two fixing points to install the two supports of the awning.

The dimensions of the awning are 5.50 m wide x 4 m out.
